AN ANALYSIS OF THE LIFESTYLE CHOICES OF YOUNG INDIVIDUALS AND ITS IMPACT ON THE GROWTH OF CHURCHES

ABSTRACT: This study was carried out to assess the life style of young people and church growth. Specifically, the study aimed to examine young people life style and church growth, change the unhealthy culture of some church young people ministries and cast a fresh vision for the church. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 40 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between young people life style and church growth. Also, the culture and doctrine of churches has significant effect on the life style of young peoples. Furthermore, young people’s life style has a role to play in the membership and growth of churches. In addition, the familiarization of the potential moral heroism of young people is one of the factors affecting church growth

the moral teaching and nourishment given to young people help enhance church growth and its proliferation. The study thereby recommends that churches should always teach the doctrine of the church to the young people so as to improve their life style in accordance the desire and culture of the church. Also, the parents should also play a vital role in the education of young peoples on effect of negative life style on their well-being and the church. Lastly, the elderly ones in the church should serve as a role model to young peoples in the church as their good deeds will affect the young peoples in the church positively.
